Why is the Good Vibes RYT 200hr Yoga Teacher Training course different?

This course is different because it over delivers the 200hr criteria set by Yoga Alliance US. This course teaches you to the standards of a more advanced course, we deliver the latest teachings based on current research and thinking. We also teach you to question, to be curious and to find your own authentic voice.  This course empowers you to teach with confidence.

In order to have longevity in this business, we believe that you need the tools to think on your feet when you are teaching so that you stand out from the one-pose-fits-all approach. We teach you applied anatomy that empowers you to teach different bodies with confidence, we teach you the function of the pose and from that you can make intelligent decisions of how you prepare and adapt poses to make your teaching accessible to all. Being able to cultivate awareness in your students will make for compelling classes that will make them come back again and again.

What will I leave the Good Vibes RYT 200hr Yoga Teacher Training course with?

You will leave with the internationally recognised Yoga Allliance US Registered Yoga Teacher ( RYT) Training qualification which will allow you to work anywhere in the world. You will get a fast track to auditioning at Good Vibes, but more importantly you will leave with a better understanding of what it means to be you, if personal development is what you are looking for you this is a great course to deepen your own practice and facilitate change.

What are the opportunities for me after the Good Vibes RYT 200hr Yoga teacher Training course?

After the course you will get a fast track to audition for cover work at the Good Vibes studios, we already have 2 former students who graduated in April 2018 who now teach permanent classes here because the client feedback to their cover classes was so good!

Other students have gone on to successfully launch their own yoga businesses and are teaching full time. This course encourages you to teach your friends and family from the start. On the course you will prepare your own Beginners Yoga course so that you can this up as soon as you leave as well as giving you a lot of experience in preparing and planning your own intelligently and creatively sequenced classes. We will teach you how to successfully audition for studios and also give you insider marketing tips on how to find your authentic voice and how to identify your niche market.

How long is the course?

The course is held one weekend a month over 12 months. This allows you the time to develop your own practice and to develop your teaching. It also gives you the time to process the information and then come back on the next weekend to ask questions which will help you to refine your understanding.

The duration of the 12 months means you will form long standing relationships with your teachers and fellow students. It takes time to become an informed and nurturing yoga teacher, so if you value the journey as much as the certificate at the end, this is the course for you.

Who is it accredited by?

It is accredited by Yoga Alliance US which means this qualification is internationally recognised. We deliver all aspect of the course to their high standards and over deliver in anatomy because we think it is crucial part of being a teacher.

Where is it held?

In our fully equipped yoga studio, in Fitzrovia, 1 min walk from Goodge Street tube station.

How many people on the course?

The course is limited to a maximum of 20 students, so that you get full attention during the course. We will also allocate experienced teachers as mentors where you can top up your knowledge and practice with private sessions.

What are the course requirements?

A 2 year yoga practice is preferred but we are looking for committed students who have a consistent practice. Please check in as we will review it on a case by case basis.

We ask for 2 references and you should have the time and the focus to commit to this intensive 1 year teacher training. There will be assessed homework and course projects throughout the year, allow approximately 10 hours of homework per month as well as final exams and teaching assessments.

What experience do I need to apply for the Good Vibes 200hr RYT Yoga Teacher Training Course?

Ideally you will have a regular practice, we are not looking for perfect arm balances or head stands so it doesn’t matter whether you can achieve the big poses. We will teach you all you need to get into the bigger poses with practice, if that is your goal. What we are looking for is students who can commit to attending every weekend, who can commit to the homework of around 10 hours a month, which includes reading, practising, attending our classes, observing and assisting, self-reflection and writing.  And those who are looking for an intelligent and deep dive into the yogic tradition and its place in the modern world.

The Course Dates 2019

The course starts in June 2019, the course is held one full weekend a month, over 12 months:

The day starts at 9am on Saturdays and 9.30am on Sundays and finishes at 6pm/6.30pm.

Course fees

The course fee is £3550, which works out at under £150 a day. Once you are accepted on the course the deposit of £1500 is due, there are two further payments to settle the balance.
