Need to get ready for your holidays fast? Or are you looking to add strength and power to your Yoga and Pilates practice? Our Power Plate classes led by an experienced and motivating team of teachers are just what you've been looking for.
What are they? The ultimate fat burning machine, the Power Plate is very simply put a vibrating platform that stimulates your muscles and helps maximise the effect of bodyweight exercises. 25 minutes on the plate in one of our classes is the equivalent to over an hour in the gym and this is because it's a workout that engages up to 95% of your slow and fast twitch muscle fibers, notching up the intensity.
How does it work? The vibrations stimulate your muscles causing them to contract and relax 30 - 50 times a second, burning fat, toning muscle and reducing the appearance of cellulite. Plus the added benefit of a class with one of our experienced teachers, who is not only watching your alignment but also motivating you every week means you don't have to be self conscious about using the plate in the corner of the gym. We're always coming up with new and exciting exercises to keep the experience fresh and challenging.

Conditioning: This is an open level class, working on lower body, upper body and abs in turn. The machine is set to a minute on each exercise, for beginners as well as those who are looking to tone without sweating. Ass and Abs: As the name suggests, we work on the butt, thighs and abs so get ready for serious focus on these areas. For those who have completed at least 5 Power Plate classes, not for complete beginners. Join Curtly on Wednesday's 1.30pm Fitzrovia and Sam, Thursday's 5.30pm, Covent Garden.Book in.
Power Box: The Power Box class will take you through the best of boxing fitness on the Power Plate. Expect to work hard, toning your arms and improving your cardio fitness. Not suitable for beginners, you should have completed at least 5 Power Plate sessions. Try it with Chelsea Thursday's 1.30pm and George on Tuesday's 12.30pm, Covent Garden Book in
HIIT: This class combines resistance and cardio exercises on the Power Plate. You will be glad when the class is over and ecstatic at the 300 calorie burn per class including the 48 hours afterburn. Not suitable for beginners, you should have completed at least 10 regular Power Plate classes. You can hop into a HIIT class on Friday mornings 8am with Eszter in Covent Garden or Kazim in Fitzrovia. Circuits: Each Power Plate is a circuit station with different equipment and exercises, you work your way around the room. A fun and active class for those who have completed at least 10 sessions.
