Muscular Endurance training is a muscle-strengthening activity that increases the ability to perform aerobic cardiovascular exercise for an extended time.
Through a 90 minute ride you will be coached to achieve the goals and reap the benefits of an endurance workout. Whilst challenging your mental as well as your physical strength, your sense of achievement will leave you feeling elated! Are you ready to push through your fitness ceiling?
The benefits of an Endurance Ride
Weight Control Endurance training causes a shift in metabolism towards greater usage of fat for fuel. Training for duration at aerobic intensity releases hormones which include those that help to reprogram fat cells to burn energy and decrease appetite.
Improved Muscle Tone Endurance training tones and conditions the muscles rather than creating larger, bulky muscles. Muscles get stronger and are better able to carry out activities for a longer period. Leaner muscle burns 3 times more calories than fat even whilst at rest.
Improved Mood Extended periods of aerobic and strength training exercises involving the movement of your legs will primarily increase levels of ‘ fight or flight’ hormones categorised as catecholamines, into your body. These hormones contribute to feelings of happiness and calm, improved concentration and help the release of tension and negative energy in a healthy manner.
Decreased Disease Risks Endurance training boosts ‘metabolic fitness’ by improving both cardiovascular and lung function which aids the decrease of blood pressure, blood cholesterol levels and the risk of diabetes, stroke and heart disease.
Increased Energy The body’s ability to carry out normal functions improve by transporting essential nutrients and oxygen to the cells and tissues of the body. Improved heart and lung function results in increased oxygen capacity and decreases the workload on the heart in pumping blood throughout the body. Daily tasks such as walking the stairs, lifting objects and running errands get easier with regular exercise.
