Rather than run yourself ragged in the build up to the event, lets be honest, even what begins as something low key and low stress can start to snowball.

Here's an effective yoga move that will strengthen and tone your belly to give you a cinched in waist for your big day.

The Belly Buster - Chakravakasana

Come up to all fours, wrists under elbows, long biceps, index fingers pointing forwards and weight even between the hands, knees under hips, knees inner hip distance apart.

Exhale to float the right arm forwards, keeping the shoulder moving back and down and integrated in the upper back.

On the next exhale lift the opposite leg, maintaining symmetry through the hips.

Continue alternating in this way 8 times then lift and hold for 5 breaths with good form and tone through the abs, breathing steadily, before releasing back to child’s pose.

Good Practice Tip: Become aware of the natural curves of your spine; maintain length at the neck and the abdominals and ribs lifted, check your head hasn’t sagged down as this will cause an achy neck.
