3 steps to a smaller waist

Holiday eating with an extra glass of rose here and there can quickly add inches to your waistline. While we love loosening up in the sunshine, a little daily discipline keeps us in check.

3 easy ways to whittle your waist:

  1. Portion sizes - keep your portions small and take your time to eat it. Include leafy greens and a small portion of lean protein at every meal.
  2. Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up and have a lean and nutritious breakfast with protein choose from eggs, avocado and pumpkin seeds or grated apple with coconut yoghurt. Breakfast kick starts your metabolism so don't miss it.
  3. We like exercising first thing on an empty stomach, many studies have shown that exercising in a fasted state is an efficient way to build lean muscle and improve fat loss.

Let's get a sweat on!

It’s a steamy summer and there’s no better time to ramp up your fitness regime, it’s good to sweat!

When you challenge yourself and start to sweat you increase your cardiovascular activity, you burn more calories and overtime see a bigger weight loss.

Sweating keeps you from overheating, warms up your muscles, helping to release stress and muscle tension, improves your circulation and increases your metabolism. And it washes away the impurities on the skin! And doesn't it feel SO good when it's over?

So rather than avoid it, let the sweat flow, because it means you are putting effort into your classes and we applaud that!

Come prepared for your class by taking a towel  in with you, use a yoga towel on your mat to give a better grip and absorb your hard work. Remember to keep it fresh for all, give your mat and bike a wipe. And last of all, don’t forget to take a bottle of water in with you to hydrate throughout the class.

Good Vibes, London’s home of nurturing yet challenging vinyasa flow yoga, launches it’s one day teacher training workshop with ongoing support and mentoring to sustain you as you delve further into the world of teaching yoga.

Led by Good Vibes Founder Nahid de Belgeonne and founding Glow Yoga teachers Ruth McNeil and Clare Dobson, the day will help you to better understand the art of sequencing (vinyasa krama), to become more adept at subtle adjustments and to have a repertoire of fun and creative vinyasa flow sequences with useful modifications and progressions to play with in your teaching and for your own practice.

With a mixture of led practice, discussions, seminars and invaluable time to teach your peers and receive feedback, this day long workshop will give you the boost you need to take your teaching to the next level as well as expert advice on navigating the seemingly conflicting worlds of running a business and teaching yoga, setting you on the right course for success and satisfaction.

If you are looking to establish yourself with confidence and wanting to connect with your authentic voice in an increasingly competitive yoga market - this course if for you.

The workshop is for qualified teachers of yoga, or student teachers, ideally with (or studying towards) a 200-hour qualification, though other paths/trainings may be accepted at the course leader’s discretion. This course is worth 7 CPD points.
