Nahid de Belgeonne

Nahid de Belgeonne has a creative background: textiles, fashion, photography and was part of the team who founded Scarlet magazine.

Nahid has been a fitness enthusiast for most of her life. After trying a few sessions on a Power Plate she was so impressed with the results that she decided to retrain and open up the  first independent, dedicated Power Plates studio in the UK. The first one was such a success that Good Vibes opened three studios in the first year.

At Good Vibes Nahid has combined all her interests to provide a studio and service with bags of personality and as far removed from the corporate gym experience as possible.

The emphasis here is on enabling people to feel they can achieve a level of fitness not just for those who have been exercising for years.

All the Good Vibes sessions are instructor led which means you get effective and challenging but safe workouts. Our trainers are handpicked for their experience and lovely manner. The in-house training is ongoing and incorporates yoga, pilates as well as gym based exercises.

Nahid says, “I am quite fit but found that the machines give me an intense work out which is complementary to my existing yoga regime. I dropped a dress size in 6 weeks so I know it works. My all year round regime consists of 4 Good Vibes classes a week  (taken by various Good Vibes trainers who all have a different slant) yoga and walking. It works and it is easy to fit in, I really don’t work that hard to keep myself in shape.

It’s important to me that clients feel welcome at Good Vibes. Keeping fit should be fun and easy to schedule in and you want to see results fast – with Power Plates, you really do. We have had clients drop dress sizes, stones, inches and they keep coming back.

Impersonal, corporate gyms are not for me, the Good Vibes studio is a more relaxed space , I want people to feel uplifted after a visit. I love the fact that after working out for 25 minutes you can go and get on with your day.

I also love the social aspect of opening the doors each morning, welcoming in the regulars and new people, playing you my latest musical acquisitions, having a chat while giving you a great work out. Power Plates is all we do and with four years of training people on the Power Plate - we get great results. Power Plates are here to stay, they cut your training time by half and the Good Vibes classes push the technology to get great results - exercise should be part of your day so it needs to be easy to fit in -  why waste time in the gym?"

Nahid is also a yoga teacher and also trains women back to fitness after pregnancy. She teaches across the studios and accepts personal training clients for tough but effective workouts.
